Salman Khan Salman Khan started his career with a not-so-hot film 'Biwi Ho To Aisi' which had somebody like Rekha and Bindu in it. Salman played the role of Rekha's 'devar' but the bargain did not pay off well. His time was yet to come. His time did come with Sooraj Barjatya's all time blockbuster 'Maine Pyar Kiya' co-starring new actress Bhagyashree. This movie broke the record of mighty 'Sholay' and Salman Khan became the hottest selling star overnight. MPK or 'Maine Pyar Kiya' was considered to be a 'mini Sholay' and did everyone associated with the movie a whole lot of good. In the early part of his career,Salman followed up with string of hits like 'Saajan', 'Sanam Bewafa', 'Baagi' , 'Kurbaan' and 'Patthar Ke Phool'.  "Saajan' co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit turned out to be the biggest hit of the year. But Salman could not cash on the opportunity and made some mistakes as anyone does as a newcomer. He decided on movies like 'Suryavanshi', 'Nischay' 'Ek Ladka Ek Ladki' and many more disastrous movies like that.  Still there were a couple of more flops from his side before he managed with another mega hit 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' under Rajshree Productions with Madhuri Dixit. There was no looking back for him from then on and Salman rose to stardom comfortably. Then he teamed up with his brother Sohail Khan to come up with movies like 'Auzaar' and 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya' opposite Kajol. With 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya', 'Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai', 'Bandhan' becoming big hits, Salman achieved his dream of becoming greater than his father, writer Salim. Many of his distractors have termed him as cold and arrogant and difficult to deal with, but someone who has the looks, body and luck like Salman Khan does, has to has these ingredients to make his personality all the interesting one. Salman Khan has no qualms giving special appearances in movies as was seen in 'Deewana Mastana' and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hain'. But so strong is his screen appearance that he went away with the Best Supporting Actor Filmfare Award for his role in KKHH. This only shows that Salman is gradually maturing as an actor.  In his career span of 10 years, Salman has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters of decade like 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun', 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Karan Arjun', 'Saajan', 'Sanam Bewafa' , 'Judwaa' and 'Jeet'.  According to the industrywallahs, Salman Khan could have been the undisputed number one had it not been for his boyish approach and highhandedness with the media. "Yeah, I'm arrogant. And I like to keep people at a distance, he maintains. "I know who my close friends are and they haven't changed over the years. But there are these acquaintances who, I know for a fact, laugh every time a movie flops. I ignore it. There is nothing I can do about it. It is better to maintain a distance with people." His last film 'Jaanam Samjha Karo' with Urmila Matondkar was a flop one but his forthcoming movie 'Dus' with Sanjay Dutt should prove to be quite beneficial for him. One song 'Sabse Aage Honge Hindustani…..' has already become a hit and should be able to lift the spirit of the movie. He has given some mindblowing stunts and hope Salman Khan has a great future ahead of him with another of his movie 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' with Miss World Aishwarya Rai are waiting eagerly to get released.
