After Amitabh Bachchan there has been no clear number one, Stars are made every friday and destroyed every week. Their isn't really anybody who deserves a  no.1 after Amitabh Bachchan.But, yes at the present times there is Salman Khan & Akshay Kumar both the stars are regionally popular in the interiors and metro parts of the India and then there are action-heroes like Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty & Ajay Devgun only sells in the B and C centers while Shah Rukh and Govinda films does wells in metro  and urban cities but both the stars films does not guarantee initials like Sunny, Akshay and Salman's films does, says the trade guide magazine editor Taran Adarsh. 

The top ranking heroes - Sunny Deol,Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar,Ajay Devgun & Shah Rukh Khan now charges between 1 crore to 1.50 crores.Trades buzz is that Bokadia has paid Bachchan an incredible 5 crore for the laal baadshah, though bokadia insist it was only 3 crore.The one-release-old Bobby Deol is getting the overseas territory-worth between 2 crore and 3 crore for Rahul rawail's Aur Pyar Ho Gaya.Kajol recently signed two films for each 80 lakh, Karishma Kapoor & Manisha Koirala are a 1 crore heroine and the slipping Madhuri Dixit charges 1.25 crore. Technicians aren't far behindbehind. Director for hire like David Dhawan, Raj Kanwar, Sooraj Barjatya and Indra Kumar are said to be charging 1 crore plus.
